The Traveling Sylvanian - South Africa

And so another week has arrived. I have finally managed to sort my personal problems out long enough to allow me to spend some time with my Sylvanians again! (Yaaay!) Real life gets in the way of fun FAR too often... :)

I have just finished uploading the story for the start of Damara De Wildt's world tour. Damara is also on her way to Sycamore Springs at the moment and I can't wait to see what she gets up to there.

But, until she arrives in the USA, here is the story of how Damara's amazing world tour kicked off on home soil. Yes, this story is based on a perfect day out with my own husband a few years back (ice cream and all), and yes I know that  he spoils me rotten! But I like it! :)

Damara's family will miss her dearly while she is gone, but we are all looking forward to hearing all about her wonderful travels!

  1. Lovely story, and all the shops are gorgeous too! I like the sweets store (looking better with the other sets you put in!) and Madeleine's Boutique, I'm sure Damara was extremely pleased to have so many pretty dresses :-)

    1. Thanks Aranera! I must confess that I do not own the sweets store yet. (Although it is SOOO tempting now!) This one is on loan from a friend of mine who will be picking it up again soon. I just had to make the best of it while I could!

    1. Thank you very much! That is such a great compliment. I have been working very hard on my photos and it is nice to be able to see the improvements that I have made in four years. To be honest, the story was very easy to write since I am one of the lucky ones to have a husband very much like Rowan. He surprises me when I least expect it. :-)

    1. Thanks Jennifer. I made the cheetah family from a set of Easy Buy bears that I received as a gift. Since I already had a copy, and I am not too crazy about the plainness of the EB figures, I decided to try my hand at customizing. If you would like a set, I would be willing to make you one as a trade perhaps?

    2. Hi Sands, You customized them? Wow! They're totally adorable! Great work! Your trade idea sounds fantastic! I'm going to look for your email address now. If I can't find it, I have a live link to my email address in my Blogger profile. If you don't hear from me in the next five minutes, please send me an email through my Blogger profile. I'm looking forward to connecting! xo Jennifer
